Senior Inclusive Practice Manager

Full time fixed term for 18 months

Fulfilling a critical role within Student and Academic Services and working with others to deliver change across the institution, the Senior Inclusive Practice Manager will ensure inclusive practice is embedded across all courses, processes and projects to optimise the success, progression and retention of applicants and students with additional needs. It will also work with senior managers to ensure continued institutional compliance with the Equality Act, leading the institutional response to changes in DSA funding to ensure high quality and accessible learning opportunities are provided for all students. The postholder will work with academic colleagues to drive the agenda for embedding such appropriate support for students with additional needs within the Active Blended Learning model.

The post requires a dynamic, positive individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills.  Experience and knowledge of equalities legislation and policies relating to additional needs, inclusive practice and Higher Education is essential.

This post sits within the Student Services team and reports to the Head of Student Services but will work across the institution in the area of inclusive practice. The ability to engage with and influence senior academic and professional services managers, to enhance the experience of students with additional needs and to embed effective and efficient practices across the institution, is essential to the role.
