Salary: Research Assistant (Grade F below the bar): £27,285 - £28,963 Research Associate (Grade F above the bar): £29,799 - £38,833 

Please be advised that due to a new minimum salary threshold of £30,000 per annum imposed by the UKVI, this post may not qualify for University sponsorship under Tier 2 of the points based system.

Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Assistant/Associate to work within the growing Evidence Synthesis research team. Amongst other duties you will advise and contribute to: the design and implementation of literature searches of electronic medical, health and social science bibliographic databases; design and implementation of searches of clinical trial and research registers; design and implementation of searches and alerts for research funding opportunities, and production of the final report/paper; contribute to the development of a series of short courses in evidence synthesis; undertake teaching of evidence synthesis on workshops and internal training courses. 

Candidates should tailor their application according to the level of post they are applying for; a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field is essential at Assistant level. A postgraduate qualification or a PhD in a relevant subject along with knowledge of; search strategies, relevant bibliography software, and methods of systematic reviews is essential at Associate level. Successful candidates will be appointed according to qualifications and experience. 

You will have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities. You will demonstrable the ability to work in a range of education settings and situations, and have the ability to work flexibly and cooperatively with others.
