About Anglia Ruskin University:
Anglia Ruskin is a vibrant workplace and our University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally. We have ambitious plans for the future and we are determined that our students and staff will realise their full potential. With an annual turnover of over £200m, we are a major force for higher education and one of the largest universities in the East of England.

About the role:
Our Faculty of Science and Technology has a vision that combines commitment to a strong and active research culture with excellence in learning and teaching. We’re continuing to grow our international research profile and have major European research projects both ongoing and recently won. We have two world leading research institutes in the Global Sustainability Institute (GSI) and the Anglia Ruskin Information Technology Institute (ARITI) working with governments and stakeholders across the globe. Our research is embedded in our departments as well as our research institutes.

We’ve invested £45 million in our new Science Centre which will offer students and researchers in computing and technology, psychology, animal biology, and biomedical science and forensics, state-of-the art facilities in which to develop their STEMM careers.

The new PVC and Dean will have an exceptional platform from which to shape an outstanding educational experience and progress an aspiring research culture which delivers excellent outputs with real world impact. A member of the University Corporate Management Team, you’ll steer student recruitment in a competitive marketplace, and work to raise the Faculty’s regional, national and international profile. You’ll combine academic standing in a relevant discipline with a demonstrable track record of leadership and management. You must also bring a keen academic interest in science and technology and the ability to advance the University’s cultural reach, reputation and influence across a range of relevant fora.
