Building Manager

University of Salford - Estates & Facilities Services

Utilising the resources of some 300 directly employed staff, supported by external contractors, Estates & Property Services is responsible for delivering a full estates and facilities management service to the University, including capital development, property maintenance, cleaning, security, caretaking and landscaping. 

The Building Manager is directly answerable to the Head of Facilities, whose team is responsible for the management of all aspects of the building related services, cleaning, building maintenance, mail services, office moves including updating space data, etc. 

The Building Manager is responsible for ensuring resources are effectively utilised to achieve the SLA/KPI performance targets and will be required to be proactive at all times, ensuring facilities are maintained to a high standard, carrying out regular Inspections / audits to improve service delivery.

They will also be required to maintain positive and proactive relationships with key stakeholders and users on forward looking Facilities Management related matters. 

The post holder will manage an FM team, co-ordinating, mentoring and supervising team members as necessary to ensure a consistent, effective and high standard of service delivery.
