About the role

You will be responsible for the day‐to‐day maintenance including, an element of minor new works across a varied and historic University estate. This is an excellent opportunity for a time served and experienced maintenance electrician with the relevant electrical and engineering qualifications.

Under the direction of the Electrical technician, you will be able to work efficiently and competently on electrical repairs, testing, small reactive and planned maintenance works under your own initiative.

Duties will include carrying out planned preventative /service maintenance and reactive repairs to all areas of electrical plant and equipment.

About you (requirements)

It is essential that you have qualifications in an Electrical discipline preferably, through a trade apprenticeship with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 , City and Guilds 236 parts 1 and 2 with 16th  Edition C&G 2381 or 17th edition C&G 2382 .

Preference will be given to Electricians from commercial/school/University background, with experience in separate aspects of building maintenance.
