We seek an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Scientist to work on a project, funded by the Medical Research Council, to examine how the IL-33-inflammasome axis influences the resolution of Cerebral Malaria. You will join the labs of Dr. Kevin Couper and Dr. David Brough based in FBMH but will also actively collaborate with researchers in Liverpool and Cameroon.

You will have (or expect to hold shortly) a PhD (or equivalent) with a strong background in immunology, parasitology or neuroscience. You must have excellent technical skills in flow cytometry and microscopy and have experience of working with murine models, preferably models of neuroinflammation. Training will be available in all areas of the project.  Experience in malaria research would be advantageous.
