Research Associate in Applied Mathematics

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Applied Mathematics, funded predominantly by the EPSRC grant "Development of a high-end computational technology to predict meteotsunami impact", under the supervision of Dr Emiliano Renzi (Loughborough University).

Applicants will be expected to hold or be close to finishing a PhD degree in Applied Mathematics, or in Physics or Engineering with a strong theoretical component. They should also possess a proven research track record in Mathematical Modelling, containing the numerical solution of Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). Previous research involving Fluid Dynamics, Computational Fluid Mechanics, Ocean Wave Dynamics, or related areas would be desirable.

The successful candidate will join the Linear and Nonlinear Waves Group in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Loughborough University.
