Salary (Grade S4): £19,850 per annum plus £2,166 per annum London Weighting

Inspire, the new STEAM Learning Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent administrator to manage the operation of and support the department’s administrative work.

The post holder will be responsible for liaising with University staff at all levels and to manage relationships with CEOs and managers of external companies. The role involves having a good understanding of the services that Inspire offers to learners of all ages, students, the wider university and employers so that decisions can be made appropriately. Part of the duties would involve supporting Inspire colleagues to undertake administrative duties as well as setting up systems for the future.

The person needs to use his/her initiatives on a daily basis and have the ability to manage his/her own workload without constant supervision, whilst planning and managing the work within Inspire and its team.

You should have experience in administration and customer service and enjoy meeting people. You will also have a broad understanding of all levels of education and be confident in dealing with a wide range of visitors to the department. You are expected to have good IT skills and experience of using administrative systems to enable you to work effectively. You are expected to make an active contribution to the wider strategy of Inspire.

A DBS check will be essential for this post as you will be working within a facility for children.
