Accountable to: School Support Officer (Student Mobility and Off-Campus Activity)

Role Summary:

This post requires a flexible, committed and enthusiastic individual with an excellent customer services focus who will provide a bi-lingual first class professional service to all customers at the School’s Helpdesk.

This post will cover the School Helpdesk and will also provide support for the various activities of the Business Operations Team including co-ordinating all notices for the School display screens and information boards, off-campus activities and other duties as required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

To provide a professional and efficient first point of contact service for all visitors to Cardiff School of Management.

To deal with general School enquiries and directing students to student related functions within the Llandaff Campus, i-zone, International Office, Academic Registry etc.

To assist the School Support Officer (Student Mobility and Off-Campus Activity), School Project Officer (Technical Support) and School Support Officer (Finance and Business Operations) with business operations team tasks as appropriate.

To co-ordinate and develop template libraries of information for the School’s electronic display screens and prepare and update generic notices; liaison with Conference Services and other central departments to scope their requirements for their planned activities within the School building which require the use of the School display screens; demonstrate and train appropriate staff on how to use the display screens; prepare and update all event notices for information boards as directed by the School Support Officer (Student Mobility and Off- Campus Activity).

Act as a point of contact for students and provide detailed assistance in how to access University systems appropriately.
