Payroll Manager

This is a crucial role for the College and will be responsible for managing the payroll function which includes running the College payroll for approximately 450 employees.

This is an exciting opportunity to make an impact in a hands-on challenging role where accuracy of information, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines are paramount.

In order to be successful you will have sound experience of working on a medium payroll with differing pay structures and be able to interface successfully with the HR team where this position is based.

Suitable applicants must have proven payroll experience and be familiar with payroll systems, processes and procedures. Experience of auto-enrolment, handling of pension deductions and running both OSP and SSP will be advantageous. Ideally you will have either a payroll qualification or be able to demonstrate continuous personal development within payroll. You will need to be IT proficient and have significant experience in running a computerised payroll system. The post will require resilience, initiative and the ability to cope with a demanding workload. You must be able to work as an effective team player in order to support the HR team’s commitment to our targets.
