Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Molecular Evolution

The Department of Zoology are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Molecular Evolution. The post holder will join the research group of Professor Peter Holland working on a project investigating the origin, evolution and functional consequences of mutation super-hotspots in mammalian genomes (PNAS 114: 7677-7682).

The post holder will manage their own research, they will contribute ideas for new experiments and analyses within the research project. You will also be expected to represent the research group at external meetings/seminars and participate in outreach activities, including Wikipedia workshops.

The successful candidate must hold a relevant PhD and have experience and ability in the fields of molecular evolution, comparative genomics or cell culture/functional biochemistry.

This post is full-time, fixed-term for 21 months.
