We are seeking to appoint a Support Officer to support our research, impact and knowledge exchange programmes on the cross-cutting themes of the Advanced Resource Efficiency Centre (AREC), in particular the N8 agrifood supply chain theme. You will complement other N8 projects in the departments of Politics and Geography at the University of Sheffield, the Sheffield Sustainable Food Futures research group (SheFF) and the Centre for Energy, Environment and Sustainability (CEES).

You will provide diary management and administrative support for the Director of AREC. It includes data processing, event and workshop organisation, outreach activities, media communication, web support, stakeholder engagement and impact activities for AREC. In addition, you will support the liaison with N8, other strategic partners and collaborators.

You will be educated to A Level standard (or have equivalent work experience/qualifications), with proven administration skills. It is essential that you have good knowledge of IT, effective communication skills, both written and verbal and excellent customer service skills with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
