Senior Staffing Officer

The Senior Staffing Officer is part of the administration team lead by the Departmental Manager and works with the Departmental Manager in supporting the Head of Department in all aspects of Human Resources administration. They have primary responsibility for dealing with all HR-related issues in the Department, and will provide a comprehensive and effective HR service, facilitating a smooth HR management and administration service to the Department.

They will carry out HR administration duties and be responsible for recording, filing, tracking and monitoring the related paperwork and ensuring departmental compliance for Tier 2, 4 and 5 staff and students. The post holder will also, during times of peak workflow, provide back up for the Deputy Departmental Manager.

This open ended post is available from 1st March 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Candidates should have a minimum education requirement: GCSE Mathematics and English Grade C, above or equivalent and have proven experience of using IT successfully to a high level of complexity including Excel/databases. Candidates should also have previous experience of providing effective HR support in a complex organization which would enable them to carry out the duties of this post. Candidate should also be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
