National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) Collaborative Projects Manager

University of Leeds - Student Education Service - Admissions & Recruitment

Are you passionate about making a difference and helping young people achieve a higher education destination? Can you use your project management skills and creativity to help us support young people to access higher education?

Go Higher West Yorkshire (formerly HEART), a consortium of 12 Higher Education Providers in West Yorkshire, is looking to appoint a Collaborative Projects Manager to support the delivery of our Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) funded National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP).

NCOP seeks to identify and address issues around progression to higher education for young people living in areas where progression is low overall, and particularly low when GCSE attainment is taken into account. As part of the project we are delivering a range of activities which are being delivered in partnership by our consortium members.

You will use your experience to oversee and project manage existing collaborative and centrally led small projects or initiatives, as well as working with partners to identify opportunities to create further collaborative activity. This will help us meet our target of engaging 10,000 young people in a programme of sustained and progressive outreach activity by December 2018.

The post will be based within the University of Leeds, but will require the successful candidate to travel across the region and attend Regional/National events. There is a need to work flexibly as there will be some evening and weekend work.
