The Organisations and People (OP) Division is an intellectually stimulating, creative and research-driven Division that combines expertise in the areas of Operations Management, Global Supply Chain, Information Systems, Human Resources Management, and Organisation Behaviour. In line with our growth strategy, we are seeking to appoint one Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in the area of operations management to support existing and new programmes as well as advance understanding in key areas of OISM such as operations research, global supply chain, business intelligence, analytics, and social media.

We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join the OP Division and the OISM Research Group who can make a significant contribution to the implementation of our research, teaching and learning strategy. The OISM Group has an international reputation in its key areas of research; members have published in 4-star ‘World Elite’ and 4-star journals, and have won-in multimillion pound research funding from bodies such as EU, British Council, Qatar/Korea Research Foundation, among others in the last five years. Teaching duties will include contributing effectively to the MSc programmes in Global Supply Chain Management and in Business Intelligence and Social Media, as well as to the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD programmes.

Applicants must possess a Doctorate in a relevant field. They should also have an active research profile in the subject area including journal publications in 3-star and 4-star journals and be experienced in teaching Operations Management subjects to a high standard and able to demonstrate effective and innovative teaching practice at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Experience in teaching with business analytics software and other tools at undergraduate and postgraduate level would be desirable. The post holder is expected to contribute to develop grant proposals in collaboration with other OISM group members. Thus, having experience working in large scale international research projects would be desirable.

You will be expected to participate in at least one of the College research centres, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability and Global Lives, or a University Research Institute.
