HR and Finance Administrator

The HR and Finance Administrator will be a core member of the professional services team at the UCL Research Department of Primary Care. They will work in close co-ordination with both the Site Manager & Institute Finance Lead, IEHC HR Lead and the Institute Manager.

The successful candidate would be responsible for the delivery of the day-to-day administration of the research department, facilitating the effective management of HR matters and financial matters within the Research Department as well as promoting a positive working environment and contributing to the wider Institute HR initiatives.

The successful candidate will be key member of the departmental and Institute professional services team and the role will involve contact and communication with the Department/ Institute’s academic staff, along with UCL’s HR and Finance division staff across UCL.

This post would provide an opportunity for a pro-active individual interested in developing a career in this area of administration.

The successful candidate will be educated to undergraduate degree level or equivalent, or have acquired substantial relevant experience.

The successful candidate must have evidence of excellent HR and Finance administrative skills and a highly proactive approach to providing comprehensive support and advisory service to staff and have evidence of excellent financial management of both research and non-research funding.  

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a methodical and accurate approach to work with attention to detail with confidential and sensitive documents and data, the ability to handle competing priorities and a challenging workload in a pressurised environment and a have willingness to adapt and innovateExperience of using HR and Finance administrative IT systems such as MyFinance, Worktribe, ROME and SiP would be highly desirable.
