The School of Economics (www.uea.ac.uk/economics) at UEA is a research-oriented department committed to excellence in teaching.  

The results of the Research Excellence Framework (2014) rank the School of Economics 8th among Economics departments for research outputs (Times Higher Education). 91.8% of the School’s research output is scored as either “world-leading” or “internationally excellent”, compared with an average score of 77% across all other Economics departments.

The position will involve providing research support to Dr Emiliya Lazarova, Head of the School of Economics. The appointee will ideally have done work in matching theory or network theory and will be responsible for assisting in the conduct of formal analysis, including programming and simulations, in these areas; and contribute to writing papers and reports. .  

You must have a PhD or equivalent qualification, in a relevant area (awarded or to be submitted not later than 4 months after commencing in post and it being awarded within one year of commencement in post) and be able to satisfy all other essential criteria in the person specification for the post.

The post is available on a full-time, two year fixed-term basis from 2 July 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. 

The School and University are Bronze Athena Swan Award holders, currently working towards Silver.
