Lecturer in Computer Science (Cyber Security and/or Cryptography)

Length of contract: 36 months.

Applications are particularly sought from outstanding individuals with teaching and research strengths in areas that would strengthen and complement our existing team. We are particularly keen to receive applications from individuals with research strengths in the fields of Cyber Security, Information Security Management, and/or cryptography. Candidates are required to have established record of publication in cyber security or very closely related fields. This research domain should complement excellence in the wider teaching subject areas of Computer Science and Software Engineering at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Having CISSP, CISM, ISMS, CREST, or GIAC certificates would be an asset.

The candidate we are seeking will be highly motivated, independent, and passionate about both teaching and research, capable of delivering the high standards of teaching, supervision, and assessment our students expect, and able to contribute to the high quality research of our group. The post-holders will be expected to contribute to maintaining the high regard with which our portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes is held. This post is a fixed-term replacement of 3 years to provide academic cover for a member of staff funded by project work.
