Professor/Associate Professor/Lecturer in Engineering Mechanics

The history of College of Mechanics and Materials (CMM) can be traced back to the setting up of three related teaching and research sections of Engineering Mechanics, Hydraulics and Engineering Materials, accompanying the founding of the East China Institute of Water Conservancy in 1952. CMM has developed a postdoctoral research center for Mechanics as first level discipline. Engineering Mechanics is a national key discipline, and Mechanics is first key level discipline of the Jiangsu Province. CMM comprises of two departments, six research institutes and one laboratory. Faculty includes 131 members, including 36 professors and 44 associate professors. Among them, two professors have been elected by the Recruitment Program of Global Experts, one professor by the Thousand Youth Talents Plan Project, and one by the China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists. 

Preferred Research Fields and Qualification
Preferential candidates majored in various fields including but not limited to the following research fields are cordially invited to join College of Mechanics and Materials of Hohai University.

(1) Fluid Mechanics;
(2) Solid Mechanics;
(3) Computational Mechanics;
(4) Engineering Mechanics;
(5) Materials and Structural Safety. 

The candidates should have a PhD degree in Engineering Mechanics, or closely related fields and possess a record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals with a high international reputation. Successful candidates should also possess a strong potential for effective teaching in the respective field. Especially those who can meet any of following requirements will be preferred.

(a) Qualified to apply For ‘Young Overseas High-level Talents Introduction Plan’ at national or provincial level
(b) Qualified to apply the faculty position of professor or associate professor
(c) PhDs graduated from overseas top universities

Remunerations
The position comes with a competitive salary according to the special talent policy. The detailed salary and start-up research fund is negotiable. Family allowance and purchase subsidies will be granted. Outstanding scholars will be recommended as the candidate for One-Thousand-Talent Program, ChangJiang Scholarship, or National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists.

Salary: The annual salary depends on the level of appointment

For the role of lecturer, an annual salary before tax ranges from RMB120,000 to 200,000+.
For the role of associate professor, an annual salary before tax ranges from RMB250,000 to 300,000+.
For the role of professor, an annual salary before tax ranges from RMB260,000 to 450,000+.
