Hohai University - College of Civil and Transportation Engineering

The College of Civil and Transportation Engineering of Hohai University consists of two departments, eight research institutes and one laboratory center. They are the Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Transportation Engineering, Research Institute of Geotechnical Engineering, Research Institute of Structural Engineering, Research Institute of Prevention and Protection of Engineering Disasters, Research Institute of Bridges Engineering, Research Institute of Tunnel, Underground and Metro Engineering, Research Institute of Road and Railway Engineering, Research Institute of Transportation Engineering, Research Institute of Architecture and Landscape Engineering and Civil Engineering Experimental Teaching Center, respectively.

Our college has a strong research team. The faculty consists of 126 members, including 31 professors, 56 associated professors and 27 doctoral advisors. Three of them are double-employed academicians. Among the faculty, two professors have been elected as the Recruitment Program of Global Experts and the Young Overseas High-level Talents Introduction Plan, respectively. Another two professors have been elected as Chang Jiang Scholars.

You are expected to carry out the teaching and research activities in the field of:

Transportation Engineering, Highway Engineering, Pavement Engineering, Traffic Intelligent System Control Optimization and Emergency Management, Transportation Planning and Control for Urban Underground, Maritime Transportation Planning and Information Management, Traffic Safety Analysis and Technology.

The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong potential for effective teaching and promising research in the respective field. Applicant must have a PhD degree in transportation engineering or a closely related field. Candidates who can meet any of following requirements are preferred.

(1) Qualified to apply For ‘Young Overseas High-level Talents Introduction Plan’
(2) Qualified to apply for an associate professor faculty position
(3) PhDs graduated from overseas top universities

The position comes with a competitive salary according to the special talent policy. The detailed salary and start-up research fund is negotiable. Family allowance and purchase subsidies will be granted. Outstanding scholars will be recommended as the candidate for One-Thousand-Talent Program, ChangJiang Scholarship, or National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists.

Salary: The annual salary depends on the level of appointment

For the role of lecturer, an annual salary before tax ranges from RMB120,000 to 200,000+.
For the role of associate professor, an annual salary before tax ranges from RMB250,000 to 300,000+.
For the role of professor, an annual salary before tax ranges from RMB260,000 to 450,000+.
