About the role:

The Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including doctoral level studies. Our provision at Peterborough includes: BSc Adult Nursing, DipHE Nursing Associate, and RN Apprenticeship. We also offer post registration/CPD courses and modules, including, Advanced Clinical Practice, Clinical Assessment skills and Non-medical prescribing. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience. We have internationally excellent research in social work and social policy, and have a number of world-leading nursing and healthcare researchers in our Faculty.

You’ll act as a leading professional/practitioner in field, maintaining currency through active links with local NHS Trusts and external professional bodies. You’ll also lead or make a significant contribution to planning and implementation of strategic enhancement in areas such as student recruitment, marketing, quality assurance and student retention. You’ll be in a position to teach and facilitate learning related to core capabilities for students learning about Non-Medical Prescribing, including, Calculations, Applied Anatomy/Physiology, Pharmacology, decision making, legal/ethical issues.

With Professional regulation (General Pharmaceutical Council UK/Nursing Midwifery Council) and a higher degree (or for senior lecturer grade 6 extensive post qualification CPD). You'll have a strong professional background within the field of Prescribing and a substantial track record of high level professional activity and collaborative projects.
