Senior Research Associate – Next-Generation Converged Digital Infrastructure

We invite applications for a Senior Post-Doctoral Research Associate position to join the Next Generation Converged Digital infrastructure (NG-CDI) programme. NG-CDI is an exciting, cross-disciplinary research project that will forge the foundational research needed to underpin the next generation converged digital infrastructure for the UK. This £5M programme is jointly funded by BT and the EPSRC. The consortium brings together research groups from the Universities of Lancaster, Cambridge, Bristol and Surrey to work alongside BT, one of the world’s leading communications service providers.

You should have, or be close to completing, a PhD in Statistics or a related discipline. You will be experienced in one of more of the following areas: anomaly detection; change-point analysis; non-stationary time series analysis, network analysis. We are particularly keen to encourage applicants with a background in computational statistics. A demonstrable ability to produce academic writing of the highest publishable quality is essential.

You will join two highly supportive research communities: first and foremost they will be part of the exciting NG-CDI community, with ready access to inspiring applications that motivate novel ideas and approaches. In addition, the successful candidate will also become part of a growing community of post-doctoral researchers based at Lancaster, working on next generation statistical methods for streaming data.
