The newly formed Department of Student & Academic Administration (DSAA) brings together the 6 Registry Departments and the Faculty School/Department Administration Teams into one new department as a core professional service of the University. The new department is responsible for a diverse and wide-ranging set of critical administrative responsibilities and services across the institution. These include: student and course management systems, timetabling, UK/EU and international admissions, student and programme administration, academic administration, graduation, external returns and data standards, UKVI student compliance, academic standards, quality management, and partnerships.

This is an exciting time to be joining the Department, and the Academic Registrar and Director of Student & Academic Administration is seeking an outstanding candidate to lead the Student Administration Team, part of the ‘Student Life’ Section of the DSAA.

Under the direction of the Head of Student & Academic Administration (Student Life), the post holder will manage their allocated function and team within the Student Life Section of the Department of Student & Academic Administration (DSAA), ensuring they achieve their objectives in order to support the Department’s strategy while providing an excellent customer and student experience.

Students are at the heart of what we do, and responsibilities will include: i) registration, ii) fees, invoicing, discounts, sponsorship, scholarships, bursaries, loans, and the provision of relevant advice to colleagues on such matters, iii) course and status changes, iv) student attendance and engagement monitoring, v) awards and certificate/transcript production, vi) graduation ceremonies, vii) student exclusions and appeals.
