University of Surrey - Surrey Business School

The University of Surrey is one of the UK’s top higher education institutions. In June 2017 the University received a prestigious Gold award as an ‘outstanding’ institution in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). With 125 years of academic heritage since our founding in Battersea, and 50 years of world-class teaching and research in Guildford, the University of Surrey is the intellectual home for more than 15,200 students, 100,000 alumni and 2,800 staff.

Surrey Business School focuses on delivering business-ready solutions by investing in pioneering world-class research, placing business insight at the heart of everything it does. A dynamic learning environment and collaborative ways of working motivate students to create change, through skills gained with hands-on learning, critical thinking and entrepreneurialism. This means that businesses are equipped with the talent and knowledge they need to have a sustainable impact in the future.

We are now looking to recruit a Business Development Officer who will help us to develop and deliver our business engagement strategy. Working with colleagues across the School you will strengthen existing business relationships and help us to build new ones. You will be highly organised and an excellent communicator able to win the support of others. You will be a confident self-starter able to work under your own initiative and equally comfortable as a team member or project leader. You will have experience in a similar role and understand the opportunities that a University business school can offer to business and other organisations.

In addition to your salary you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement and excellent development opportunities. Benefits package includes, a generous pension scheme, child care assistance and discounted membership to our world-renown Surrey Sports Park.
