An exciting postdoctoral Research Associate position is available for an outstanding and ambitious graduate to undertake research in the group of Dr Simon Webb in the School of Chemistry, University of Manchester.

The Webb group has an active and productive research programme in supramolecular membrane chemistry. Within this programme, an opportunity exists to extend recent work on transmembrane communication. This is a multidisciplinary project that seeks to design and chemically synthesise molecules capable of long-range communication through phospholipid bilayers. As well as the synthesis of the target molecules, the project will require quantitative analysis of their behaviour in complex mixtures.
