Dr Michelle Luciano is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to assist on an MRC funded pilot project. The post holder will be responsible for recruiting primary school children (P2 to P5) to a study of reading impairment that aims to find biological predictors of children’s response to reading support. They will need to liaise with head teachers, school teachers, and school support workers throughout primary schools in Edinburgh. The role will also involve cognitive testing of children who are receiving learning support for reading difficulties. Data entry and database maintenance will form part of the job responsibilities. This role would suit someone who is well organised. The job will require travelling on-site to the various schools. Experience working with children is desirable and you will require PVG clearance.

This post is funded by the MRC.

This is a full time post, 35 hours per week, tenable immediately for a period of 3 months.
