Senior Technician

MiNA Therapeutics is seeking two highly motivated and talented Senior Technicians to join its research team developing novel therapeutics in the field of RNA activation. The successful candidates will join a multidisciplinary team sitting at the core of MiNA’s drug development effort.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Carry out cell-based assays for selecting and optimising oligonucleotides for RNA activation
  • Carry out quantification of mRNA and protein from cells and tissues
  • Help manage and support external collaborations including CROs, company and academic collaborators
  • Provide general laboratory support working collaboratively with other team members


  • Degree in biological sciences or equivalent
  • MSC in relevant discipline or PhD desirable but not essential
  • Significant academic or industry laboratory research experience in life science

 Skills and Experience:

  • Sterile mammalian tissue culture experience essential
  • Molecular and cell biology techniques including quantitative PCR, Western blot and ELISA, RNA/DNA/protein extraction from cells and tissues – some experience required
  • Experience of DNA or RNA transfection of cell lines is preferred
  • Knowledge or experience of oligonucleotide therapeutics highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to present data clearly and accurately
  • Good organisation, planning, and problem-solving skills
