Analytical Programme Lead

We are seeking an Analytical Programme Lead to join the Human Immunology Laboratory, International Aids Vaccine Initiative (IAVI-HIL). The IAVI-HIL acts as a core central reference laboratory for cellular immunology within IAVI’s global clinical trial network and also fulfils this role for other partner entities.

You will be responsible for the scientific conduct and quality of immunogenicity testing and method development and validation, and ensure that facilities, equipment, staff training and assay conduct are in compliance with ICH-GCP and GxPs. You will also play a key role in the immunology testing of samples from Malaria Vaccine Initiative (MVI)-sponsored clinical trials, and overseeing the integration of the MVI projects into the HIL quality systems and day to day operations, working closely with the HIL staff as well as with sponsor and partner laboratory representatives.

The essential candidate will have a PhD or equivalent, in a relevant science with research experience gained in an Academic or Clinical Research setting. Experience in the field of immunology, virology or vaccine development or assessment is essential. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and productively with colleagues and multiple stakeholders within complex management matrices in different geographical locations.

The appointment is full-time to 17 September 2019.
