Qualified Teaching Assessor/Educational Psychologist

Accessing education is something we here at the University of Reading take very seriously. As part of this process we have a team of dedicated staff and we are now looking to recruit a team player to join us in delivering our support. We are looking for a qualified assessor to review, support and engage with our students and staff specifically focusing on hidden disabilities such as SpLD.

The Disability Advisory Service is dedicated to supporting students at the University of Reading. We offer a wide range of support and are growing our service provision. As part of our team you will share a healthy working environment with the drive for growth and development.

You will have:

  • Experience of supporting those with complex needs, and more specifically experience of diagnosing specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyspraxia.
  • The ability to manage crisis situations and appropriately respond and refer those needing additional support.
  • The ability to develop, coordinate and host workshops and groups.
  • Experience of using a database.
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
  • The ability to report statistical analysis to the Head of Service to ensure we capture students.
  • Experience of providing reasonable adjustment reports in a timely fashion..
