Brunel University London is a campus-based University situated in Uxbridge, West London, and is home to nearly 15,000 students from over 100 countries worldwide. Founded in 1966, our mission is to practise engaged scholarship, combining teaching and research excellence with the practical and entrepreneurial approach pioneered by our namesake, Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Brunel Business School is a major part of the University. Our research drives forward global business and societal transformation, and we put this learning into practice, with original, relevant and impactful teaching that inspires our students to improve the world around them. Our research performance is reflected by the latest UK government Research Excellence Framework, in which we have been ranked 20th in the UK in terms of Research intensity and 12th in terms of ‘research power’, from a total of over 100 UK Schools.

The Marketing Division is an intellectually stimulating, creative and research-driven Division that combines expertise in the areas of Consumer Behaviour, Corporate Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Marketing Innovation and Sustainability. In line with our growth strategy, we are seeking to appoint one Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Digital Marketing to support existing and new programmes, as well as our research activities.

We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join the Marketing Division as well as the Marketing and Corporate Brand Management Research Group, who can make a significant contribution to the implementation of our research, teaching and learning strategy. The Marketing and Corporate Brand Management Research Group has an international reputation in its key areas of research; members have published in 4-star journals, and have won research funding from bodies such as EU, British Academy Leverhulme Trust, ESRC, among others. Teaching duties will include contributing to the MSc programmes in Marketing and in Corporate Brand Management, as well as to the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD programmes.

Applicants for the Senior Lecturer post must possess a Doctorate in Digital Marketing or a related discipline or be near completion if applying for the Lecturer post. They should also have an active research profile in the subject area, including journal publications in 3-star and 4-star journals. The post holder is expected to contribute to develop grant proposals in collaboration with other members of the Division, Research Group and Business School. Thus, having experience working in funded research projects would be desirable. In addition, they must be experienced in teaching marketing subjects to a high standard, and able to demonstrate effective and innovative teaching practice at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Experience in online and blended teaching would be desirable.

The candidate will also be expected to participate in at least one of the College research centres, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability and Global Lives, or a University Research Institute.
