The role:
Reporting to the newly appointed Managing Director (UK), the Academic Lead is a pivotal role which will support OES in defining and delivering its long term vision and growth ambitions in the UK.

The role is initially responsible for supporting the business development process to secure new University partnerships by providing academic credibility. The role will then focus on establishing and leading the UK Academic team, with the ultimate objective to develop and deliver high quality academic programs.

As the most senior Academic person within the UK business, this is an exciting opportunity to stretch your academic experience and knowledge within a commercial environment, and be an integral part of building the UK operation.

About you:

  • PhD qualified with extensive teaching experience within a tertiary environment.
  • Extensive experience in tertiary course preparation, preferably within an online environment
  • Evidence of a strong student centric approach to teaching and learning
  • Ability and desire to support business development activities including attending client presentations and pitch meetings, and to operate within a commercial environment.
  • High standard of interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to develop effective stakeholder relationships, and influence outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience of building, leading and developing high performance teams.
  • Initiative, curiosity and someone who will enjoy the challenges of an agile and fast-paced start-up, are also vital to success in this role.
