Early Career Fellow  in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies (3 Posts)

As a result of generous funding by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, the Refugee Studies Centre (RSC), part of the Oxford Department of International Development, is proposing to appoint three Early Career Fellow (ECF) positions, based at Queen Elizabeth House, 3 Mansfield Road, Oxford.  Each post is full-time and fixed-term for 1 year ending on 31 July 2019.

You will be expected to propose and undertake an outstanding plan of academic research on forced migration with identifiable outputs (for example, journal publications, a workshop, etc.) that can be completed in one year. You will also contribute to the academic life of the RSC by interacting and collaborating with staff and students and providing ideas for new research proposals. You may also be asked to teach on the MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies (up to 6 hours per week in full term).

You will possess a relevant doctorate, or evidence that a doctorate is imminently expected, as well as an active research record field of Refugee and Forced Migration Studies. A plan of academic research related to forced migration with identifiable outputs (for example, journal publications, a workshop, etc.) which is to be completed during the course of the Fellowship is also required.

Applicants may have a demonstrated scholarly interest in any area or aspect of forced migration, as long as they can show the relevance and importance of their project to academic, government and practitioner audiences. The work of the successful applicants is expected to contribute to the wider scholarship of the RSC.
