Warwick in Africa is a programme at the University of Warwick partnering with 28 secondary schools across Ghana, Tanzania and South Africa to transform Maths and English teaching. Working in a small team the role of the Administration Assistant is at the heart of delivering this important programme, it is a busy and varied role which requires a flexible and proactive approach to work. Interacting with volunteers and colleagues across the University this role is central to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the programme.

The successful candidate will be motivated by the aims of the programme, have excellent attention to detail and adopt a calm and measured ‘problem solving’ attitude to dealing with issues. An ability to take responsibility for and manage own workload is essential. We expect you to use your experience of working in administrative roles to work with the team to develop and implement processes and to review existing practices; suggesting improvements designed to enhance the effectiveness of our programme and the experience for our volunteers and partner schools.
