Duties of the Role

We are looking for a proactive web specialist to join our Web and Digital Media team which sits within the Marketing and Student Recruitment Office. You will play a key role in the development of the University’s website, using our newly implemented content management system, Sitecore.

The Web and Digital Media Assistant will develop digital content, write new web copy and edit, enhance and reformat content to meet University house style. Contributing to website content and to the development and delivery of web content training are also key responsibilities.

You will be responsible for using web analytics tools to inform content decisions and make recommendations to stakeholders, along with maintaining good stakeholder relationships.

There will also be opportunities to contribute ideas and help shape the future direction of the University’s digital channels.

Skills and Qualifications required

The successful candidate will hold a degree or equivalent qualification and will have experience of writing and editing copy for web with having knowledge of writing for web best practice. You will be comfortable with using web authoring tools, working to templates and have an understanding of the technical requirements for web and rich media development.

Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to acquire technical knowledge and the ability to produce high quality work within deadlines are essential for this post.
