We are seeking an exceptional individual to help lead, develop and deliver the Foundation programme framework in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences.

The Foundation programme framework provides an excellent preparation for degree level study at the University of Surrey, offering a new and exciting route into degree studies.  It has been designed to attract ambitious and committed students who are willing to learn and advance onto one of the University’s degree programmes. Taught and assessed at sub-degree level (FHEQ Level 3, equivalent to A-level), the Foundation programmes comprises academic subjects and study skills which, upon successful completion, provide a direct pathway to undergraduate degree level study.

The Senior Teaching Fellow working on the Foundation programmes in Engineering & Physical Sciences will be based in the Faculty and report to the Associate Dean (Learning & Teaching). Your role will be to lead on curriculum development, co-ordinate and help deliver the Foundation programmes with Teaching Fellows and other staff in the Student Personal Learning and Study Hub (SPLASH).  You must have a formal teaching qualification and be able to teach two out of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Engineering Fundamentals at the appropriate level.

Internal Secondment can be available for a minimum of 1 year fixed term.
