Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing (0.6 full time equivalent)

Salary: £34,520 to £49,149 pro rata

Joining the Mental Health Nursing Team you will have up to date knowledge of the contemporary mental health agenda. You will mainly contribute to the teaching in our nursing programme and take an active role in supporting students in both theory and practice. Teaching and supporting practice skills development will be fundamental to this post. You will have current professional registration with the NMC as a nurse, and a teaching qualification of Lecturer/Practice Educator (recordable with NMC if appropriate) or committed to obtaining a professional education qualification.

A fundamental part of the role is collaborating with staff in the School with interests in mental health to develop research opportunities. We have a philosophy of engaging in partnership work and are committed to policy developments which you will be expected to engage with. You will have a BSc in a relevant subject or be committed to studying at a higher level. If you have a PhD or Doctorate and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop as the University has an active programme for supporting early career researchers. Travel to other university sites will also be required.
