The School of Government and International Relations (SGIR) comprises more than 30 academic staff with a breadth and depth of expertise in Politics, Public Policy, and International Relations. Key sub-fields of expertise include comparative politics, international relations of Asia, policy advice and analysis, leadership and governance, political theory, public sector reform, public integrity and anti-corruption, strategic studies, and federalism and intergovernmental coordination. The School has a vibrant PhD program and a close working relationship with the Centre for Governance and Public Policy and the Griffith Asia Institute.

This is a full time, continuing position based at the Nathan campus.

The Role:
As a Lecturer, you will be expected to develop a research profile, engage in teaching activities, and contribute to the service and external engagement profile of the school. This will be evidenced by high quality publications and research income; strong teaching evaluations and other evidence of teaching excellence; effective higher degree research supervision and completions and a well-defined, well-executed service contribution and external engagement agenda.

The Person:
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Politics, Public Policy or International Relations and have demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in administering university courses. You will have proven experience in supervising Honours and Postgraduate research students as well as a developing track record in high quality academic publications. High-level communication and interpersonal skills, the capacity to attract research funding and the ability to contribute to an area of research in the School is essential. Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and development and course coordination is desirable.

Salary Range:
Lecturer (Level B): $90,697 - $107,706 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $106,116 - $126,017 per annum.
