Clinical Research Support Associate

Professor Houman Ashrafian requires a Clinical Research Support Associate to support the management and clinical governance of his diverse, complex and growing research portfolio. You will support the set-up, conduct and completion of research projects in accordance with national and departmental standards, and take the lead in the development and ongoing maintenance of clinical trial related documentation. You will need to develop close links with Experimental Therapeutics and its collaborators, the RDM administration team, central university administration including the Clinical Trials Research Governance team, research services and external organisations, nationally and internationally.

The post is full-time (though part-time with a minimum of 30 hours/week will be considered with an appropriate adjustment in duties), on a fixed-term basis for 2 years in the first instance You will have an undergraduate degree in an appropriate area, similar qualification or suitable on-the-job experience, and previous experience of project management in a clinical research environment. You will also be able to act independently and respond appropriately, quickly and efficiently to a rapidly changing, diverse workload and you will have excellent communication skills.

Whilst this role is a Grade 7 position, we would be willing to consider applications from suitably qualified candidates, for which the appointment would be at Grade 6 (£28,098 - £ 33,518 p.a.) with the duties and responsibilities adjusted accordingly.
