Fixed Term Contract for 2 years from 1 June 2018.

With funding from the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, Innovate UK, EPSRC and Industry, the Product Evaluation Technologies Group at WMG, the University of Warwick, provides a unique R&D capability with the latest visualisation, metrology and non-destructive testing technologies and expertise to improve New Product Development.

This role will focus on the requirements of modelling joint biomechanics to support the development of healthcare technology solutions, as well as on modelling human motion and the automation of data capture to support surgical planning. The position will also explore the transfer of knowledge into the development of automated image processing systems within industrial applications and the post processing of 3D scan data. The role will involve interfacing with both industrial and academic partners, understanding requirements and developing solutions utilising the latest software and hardware, in order to add maximum value. The research will require close collaboration with Industrial partners both in the UK and in India.

Projects are likely to range from the integration of non-contact measurement technologies through to developing macros to extract valuable information from large X-ray CT data sets.

You will be educated to PhD/EngD level in an Engineering or Computer Science related discipline. You will possess strong interpersonal skills together with the ability to work with senior management of companies.
