Marie Curie Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow in Palliative Care

Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in palliative care? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

You will work between St Gemma’s Academic Unit of Palliative Care (AUPC), University of Leeds and Marie Curie Hospice Bradford, to lead research that aims to improve community based pain management in advanced disease for patients from Black and Minority Ethnic populations. You will work flexibly around 3-4 days per week at the AUPC and 1-2 days per week at Marie Curie Bradford.

You will be closely supported by Professor Mike Bennett and the AUPC team, as well as Dr Clare Rayment, Medical Director at Marie Curie Bradford to help us consolidate Yorkshire’s position as the leading research-active hospice region. 

You will have a first degree and PhD (or close to completion) in a health sciences discipline, and some previous experience of working or researching in a clinical palliative care environment.
