Salary: Grade 8 £39,992 to £47,722 per annum. Potential to progress to £53,691 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.

We have a brilliant opportunity for someone with a passion to help the UK’s Nuclear industry expand. Fit For Nuclear (F4N) is a unique service which helps UK manufacturing companies get ready to bid for work in the civil nuclear supply chain. You will join the Nuclear AMRC’s Supplier Development Team as F4N Industrial Advisor and support relevant, eligible companies throughout their F4N journey from initial sign-up to the programme through to the granting ‘Fit For Nuclear’ status and post-granting support.

Your main duties will include delivering change management in companies, in order to develop and implement a business excellence culture which contributes to the delivery of a vision and organisational strategy that aligns with the company objectives to win nuclear contracts. You will also represent the Nuclear AMRC at events, build and maintain business contacts with other companies and actively manage conflicts of interest to ensure the maintenance of the Nuclear AMRC’s reputation.

You will:

  • have substantial manufacturing experience and knowledge of working in a civil nuclear manufacturing environment and must be able to demonstrate previous experience of assessing company capabilities in the nuclear supply chain.
  • hold a diploma in an engineering discipline, or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • have strong personal management experience including remote team working, with the ability to organise resources, plan and progress work activities whilst in the field.
  • be self-motivated with a keen drive for continual improvement, having the ability to adapt own skills to new circumstances.

In this role, you will be field based with extensive travel, including overnight stays.  The ability to travel extensively c10,000 miles per annum is essential. In this role, you will be responsible for providing coverage in and around Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall, there may also be a requirement to cover South Wales by exception.  You will be required to provide regular updates, including in person, to the Nuclear AMRC.
