Main Purpose of the Post

We are seeking applications for a Postdoctoral researcher in perovskite device prototyping to work with the SPECIFIC PV scale-up team led by Dr Trystan Watson.

The Sêr Cymru Solar initiative is a £7m initiative by the Welsh government to establish a research cluster focused on the development of low cost, large area photovoltaic technologies. It is led by Professor James Durrant, with the support of Professors David Worsley (Deputy Director), Jenny Nelson, Peter Holliman and Trystan Watson. The initiative is based within, and aligned with, the Swansea University’s SPECIFIC Innovation and Knowledge Centre, and includes strong external collaborations, including with partner universities in Wales and with the solar research programme at Imperial College London. The Sêr Solar initiative aims to address the key scientific and engineering challenges for the development and evaluation of ambient, solution processed photovoltaic technologies.

This post will sit within the SPECIFIC scale-up research group led by Dr Trystan Watson with a primary research topic of trailing new materials at small scale and device prototyping in order to enable more rapid progress from the lab to factory floor.
