BRTC and Bristol Centre for Surgical Research Manager

The University of Bristol, Bristol medical School, PHS is looking to appoint a BRTC and Bristol Centre for Surgical Research Manager. This new post presents an exciting opportunity for someone with enthusiasm, ambition and excellent finance and managerial skills to join two multidisciplinary teams developing and managing a growing portfolio of high quality research projects. 

The main job purpose is to provide high level advice and support to the Co-­‐Directors of the Bristol Randomised Trials Collaboration (BRTC, 0.6FTE), a UKCRC-­‐registered Clinical Trials Unit and the Director of the Bristol Centre for Surgical Research (0.4FTE). The post holder will take a leading role in the strategic planning, management and administration of the two units including advising on strategic, financial, legal and HR matters. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring the sustainable growth of the two units over the next three years, including major contributions to applications for the surgical research centre and the BRTC.
