We have a great vacancy for a chef who has flair and passion for cooking. The role will work on our Whiteknights Campus and the chef would have the opportunity to move around the campus to various kitchens within the business. In this chef’s role you will have the chance to put your ideas towards the menu development, which we like to change seasonally.

Demonstrates a passion for cooking and are looking to develop a career.

Due to the nature of hospitality catering, this post will require at least 60% of hours worked to be outside of normal University working hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.working 5 out of 7 days.

You will:

  • Be self-motivated
  • Have knowledge and experience in the food industry
  • Desire to embrace change and motivate staff to achieve results.
  • Adaptable and able to work flexibly.
  • Intermediate Qualification in Food Safety
  • Knowledge of food production and food service operations.
  • Ingredient and provisions knowledge
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Ability to cope with varying workloads whilst remaining calm and focused.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
