Lecturer\Senior Lecturer in Finance

University of Aberdeen - Business School

The Business School at the University of Aberdeen invites applications for up to two lecturer or senior lecturer positions in Finance, as part of a number of senior and junior hires in Accountancy, Finance and Management. We have a preference for Teaching and Research staff to contribute to the research culture in the School, including strengthening our REF profile and supervising PhD students. However, individuals with extensive professional experience are also welcome to apply along the Teaching and Scholarship track.

The School offers Finance programmes both at the undergraduate (UG) and the postgraduate-taught (PGT) level. The post holder will contribute teaching to these programmes. The post holder may also deliver teaching in our growing portfolio of online programmes as well as in our international campuses and programmes (e.g. China and Qatar).

While we want a candidate who can cover core teaching areas in Finance, we are happy to consider any research specialisms within the Finance area including interests in Financial Economics.

The Business School is in an exciting and ambitious phase of its development. While proud of the University’s 500-year history, the Business School is a core part of the University’s plans for the future and is committed to increasing its profile. As an integral part of its growth strategy, the School has initiated a plan to earn accreditation from the three main international accrediting agencies in the coming years. The School is proud to have been awarded the Athena SWAN Bronze Award for equality and diversity (one of only five Business Schools in the UK with this award). Details can be found here: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/business/people/equality-and-diversity-234.php. More information on the School is available by clicking on the link: www.abdn.ac.uk/business.
