Postdoctoral Researcher in Computer Animation (Fixed Term)

The National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) is a leading institution in computer animation and has won the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for its research and education achievements. The NCCA has conducted research of international significance and has pioneered both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Bournemouth University in computer visualisation and animation and digital effects.

The recruitment is to fill a postdoctoral position contributing to a research project, ‘VISTA-AR’ funded by the (Interreg France Channel England). This project has a specific focus to enhance visitor experience Innovation through Systematic Text Analytics and Augmented Reality. The project aims to develop a digital content synthesis and related tools for VR/AR applications.

The new post holder will bring expertise in research development and solve technical problems in this project. They will contribute to the digital content generation, development of software tools and provide key supports to the development and augmented reality solutions. They will assist with the daily running and management of the project. You will have a PhD degree in computer animation or a related discipline and good software skills in 3D modelling, animation software.

This post is available as fixed- term contract funded for 2 years.
