Funding for a Clinical Research Fellow is available through a Welcome Trust Grant. You will contribute to a series of experimental medicine studies investigating the ‘Role of ATP in Chronic Cough’. A clinical research fellow is required to provide medical support for these studies working within a multi-disciplinary research team led by Professor Jacky Smith.

You will be experienced/ trained in performing a range of physiological measures in both patients with chronic cough and healthy volunteers including bronchoscopy. The studies will be performed in collaboration with the NIHR Manchester Clinical Research Facility at Wythenshawe Hospital and will involve working closely with a multi-disciplinary team. The post includes a range of clinical, technical and administrative duties. This is a one year full-time post in the first instance, with the opportunity for extension by mutual agreement with the intention to study for an MD or PhD.
