Location: University Park
Salary: £38,833 to £47,722 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the post of Operations Manager in the School of Law, based in the Law & Social Sciences Building on the University Park Campus.

The purpose of the role is to provide both strategic and operational leadership and management of a team, including the recruitment, development and performance management of staff, to ensure the successful delivery of an excellent administrative support service for the School. Working with the Head of School and the Faculty Director of Operations, the role holder will contribute to and deliver strategic, budgetary, resource and operational policy, planning and management for the School, and will also undertake Faculty-wide projects. 

Candidates should have a degree (or equivalent) and/or significant experience in a similar or related role. They should demonstrate experience of a senior operations management role within a single site/team within a large, complex, matrix organisation, managing and establishing new administrative systems and procedures, and of financial monitoring and reporting. Candidates should be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate and lead others, have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, and have a considered approach to problem solving.

This is a full-time permanent post and is available from May 2018.
