UCD Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2

Salary: PD1 €36,854 per annum; PD2 €43,828 per annum.

Applications are invited for a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2 in the UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics. This is a temporary post.

Insight, the SFI centre in data analytics, is seeking to recruit a post-doctoral researcher with experience in Bayesian methods and related computational skills.

This role will focus on advanced Bayesian methods to meet the challenges posed by Big Data.

Specifically, you will focus on the development of next generation Bayesian methods capable of scaling to large data.   

This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.

The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the process of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.

This position may be appointed at either UCD Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2 depending on the relevant qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
