The Division of Urban, Environment and Leisure Studies at LSBU helps students to achieve their full potential and to realise their career aspirations informed by our commitment to social justice and global responsibility. This commitment underpins all our degrees, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and contributes to the development of students' academic skills and knowledge, as well as their engagement as active and critical citizens. All our undergraduate degrees encourage and support students to undertake a work placement and volunteering opportunities.

We are seeking to appoint a new Lecturer in Human Geography who could contribute to the development of our new degree and subject area of Human Geography. Applicants should have completed (or recently submitted) a PhD and who wish to embark on an academic career. Good communication skills, a passion for the subject area, and an ability to work productively as part of a team are essential personal qualities for the successful applicant.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high quality teaching, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in the areas of Human Geography and related aspect of urban studies, planning, housing and tourism development. You would also be expected to contribute to research activity within the School in relation to the human geographies of social justice and global responsibility.
